Easy espresso drink

Add a little kick to your espresso with this cocktail recipe. With alcoholic or nonalcoholic liqueurs or syrups, you can enhance the concentrated coffee flavor of espresso. Our favorites include Frangelico liqueur, Baileys Irish Cream Liqueur and, for a nonalcoholic option, a flavored Torani syrup. Ingredients

2 tsp. Italian instant espresso (we like Medaglia D'oro)
1 cup hot water
Flavor add-ins (our favorites include Frangelico liqueur, Baileys Irish Cream Liqueur and, for a nonalcoholic option, a flavored Torani syrup)

Directions

  1. Heat water to almost boiling.
  2. Add 1 teaspoon instant espresso to small, demitasse cup and top with ½ cup hot water.
  3. Stir in liqueur or syrup if using.
