Touch may be the most underrated trigger for memories; it’s also arguably the most important. One time-honored way to keep those sense-memories alive for future generations is by making a memory quilt. You start with a few favorite fabrics (a grandparent or parent’s old shirts or dresses), add a little sewing know-how, and presto—old memories are given new life as an adorable baby quilt. Truly, there is no sweeter up-cycle!
