Cool drink recipes for your summer Golden Girls watch parties

We don’t know about you, but we love a good Golden Girls marathon. Maybe it’s the furniture covered in palm fronds. Or the floral windbreakers. Or the sassy sarcasm that results in Dorothy’s signature raised eyebrow. But whatever it is, that show just takes us somewhere fun and relaxed, like a beach vacation for your brain.

So when we saw these new Golden Girls drinking glasses, we decided straight away that we needed beachy beverages to go with them. If you’re like us and you love kicking back with a bevvie to watch Sophia spin her Sicilian stories, or Blanche be her typical Southern belle self, keep reading!

Campari Fling

Ingredients:

•  1 oz Campari
•  1 oz sweet red vermouth
•  Club soda
•  Orange twist

 Pour Campari and sweet red vermouth into a glass with ice. Top off with a splash of club soda and garnish with an orange twist.

Georgia Peach Julep 

Ingredients:

•  2 oz bourbon
•  1 oz muddled peach
•  ½ oz jalapeño syrup
•  Lemon-lime soda
•  Mint

Mash peach and a few mint leaves to the bottom of a glass with a muddler or the back of a spoon. Add ice and pour over bourbon and jalapeño syrup. Top with lemon-lime soda and garnish with a mint sprig.

Sweet Strawberry Blond 

Ingredients:

•  2 oz vodka
•  1 oz lemon juice
•  1 oz simple syrup
•  5 strawberries
•  Lemon twist or mint 

Using a blender, blitz the first four ingredients into a smooth puree. Pour over ice into a glass and garnish with lemon twist or mint.

Semi-sweet Gin Sour 

Ingredients:

•  2 oz gin
•  1 oz fresh lemon juice
•  1 oz honey
•  Ice
•  Lemon twist

 Add ice, gin, lemon juice and honey to a cocktail shaker. Shake for 10-15 seconds. Strain into a glass and garnish with a lemon twist.
