Cut your lace to fit around the circumference of your glass vase plus about ¼ inch extra for overlap.
Place lace on waxed paper or trash bag and apply several coats of spray stiffener, letting dry between coats. (We gave ours 5 coats.)
Then, spray or apply an even coat of paint. Let dry. Turn over and apply paint to back of lace. Let dry. Repeat as needed for both sides until lace is evenly covered.
Next, measure the height and circumference of your glass vase and write down your measurements. Cut your tissue paper ¼ inch shorter than the height of the vase and ½ inch longer that the circumference. Then cover the vase with the tissue paper and tape or carefully glue to secure. Set aside.
Wrap lace around base of tissue-covered vase and pin in place. Use craft glue or hot glue to secure. Remove pins when dry.
