You will need:
Premade cupcakes in the flavor of your choice; White frosting; Black gel frosting; White fondant; White sprinkles; Starburst candy; Flower sprinkles or sugar flowers (optional); Pastry bags; #233 decorating tip (for fur); #1 decorating tip (for eyes, nose and mouth); Offset spatula; Craft knife; Rolling pin; Small bowl of water
Step One:
Use the offset spatula to spread cupcakes with white frosting.
Step Two:
Roll out a Starburst candy (we used orange and pink) to about 1/8” thickness. Use the craft knife to cut it into an oval shape as shown in photo.
Step Three:
Use black gel frosting with #1 decorating tip to create the eyes, lashes, nose and mouth.
Step Four:
Place white sprinkles on each eye as shown in photo.
Step Five:
Roll out fondant to about 1/8” thickness and use the craft knife to cut two long, curved ears.
Step Six:
Place the ears on cupcake as shown in photo.
Step Seven:
Use the white frosting with a #233 decorating tip to add fuzzy fur detail around the edges of the llama’s face. (If you don’t have a #233 tip, try the #1 tip and pipe curly squiggles.)
Step Eight:
Add flowers between the ears for a springtime crown.
