Enlarge the large, center cloud template about 250% to fit horizontally on a 22-by-28-inch sheet of poster board: You can either take the template to a print shop or draw your own cloud shape using our template as a guide.
Trace the enlarged cloud on 1 sheet of poster board. Then use that piece of poster board to cut out 3 more clouds from the 3 remaining sheets of poster board.
After the clouds are cut out, use the template to note the center line on each cloud. Score and fold each cloud in ½ along that line.
Glue the sides of the clouds to each other to form 4 “spokes.”
Then tape 1 cloud to the wall (both sides), leaving 2 spokes hanging free.
Enlarge the hanging clouds template about 200% to fit 2 clouds vertically on a 22-by-28-inch sheet of poster board: You can either take the template to a print shop or draw your own cloud shape using our template as a guide.
Trace 1 enlarged cloud on ½ of a sheet of poster board. Cut out, and then use that cloud to cut out 7 more clouds from the 3½ remaining sheets of poster board. (Cut 2 clouds from each sheet.) This will make 1 finished hanging cloud. You’ll need to cut 16 total clouds from 8 sheets of poster board to form both finished hanging clouds.
After the clouds are cut out, use the template to note the center line on each cloud. Score and fold each cloud in ½ along that line.
Glue sides of the clouds to each other to form 1 cloud with 8 spokes. Repeat this step to form the other cloud.
To allow for hanging, make 4 small holes with a hole punch (1 hole on every other spoke). See template for reference.
Cut 4 equal lengths of twine for each cloud. Thread each piece of twine through a hole and make a knot. Then gather the 4 pieces of twine together and make a knot at the other end for hanging. Repeat for second cloud.
Print multiple sheets of our colored raindrop templates on paper or card stock. Cut out several raindrops.
Cut lengths of twine to stretch from the clouds down to the floor.
Then tape or glue the raindrops to the twine, spaced evenly apart.
