Most important pro tip

Experiment and go crazy—the templates are just jumping-off points. Glue stuff on. Glue more stuff on. You’re not going to make a mistake. They’re wild Pride sunglasses.

Hands cutting rainbow hearts out of the free printable.

We started with the rainbow hearts look.

Hands placing glitter washi tape on heart-shaped rainbow cut-outs.

Then added strips of glitter tape that matched the colors on our print for extra sparkle.

Hands applying heart-shaped rainbow cutouts to a pair of sunglasses.

If you’re using glue, it’s best to dot it around the edge of your sunglasses, so you don’t obstruct your vision. Also easier to remove!

Hands adding a triangle with colors symbolizing different groups within the LGBTQ community to the DIY Pride Month sunglasses.

We accented this pair with a triangle featuring the additional colors of the Progress Pride Flag.

Hands adding glitter to a pair of DIY Pride Month sunglasses that symbolize transgender individuals.

Of course, we have a version in transgender Pride Flag colors…with bonus glitter-glue accents on the white stripes.

Gemstones make excellent add-ons. And you can spell out any message or name you want in alphabet beads.

To give your pom-pom clouds some dimension, start by gluing a base layer of poms to the sunglasses. Then put a dot of hot glue on a pom-pom and pop a few more on top.
